Entry Requirements for tourist travel to Burundi:

• Passport and Visa are required for tourist travel to Burundi.

  1. 1. Valid, signed US passport with blank pages for visa and valid 6 months beyond trip. If your passport does not meet these requirements, see our passport services. 
     
     
  2. 2. Three Burundi visa Application Forms completed and signed.
     
     
  3. 3. One Visa Connection Cover Sheet.
     
     
  4. 4. Four passport photographs.
     
     
  5. 5. For visitors: An invitation letter by family members or friends is required.
     
     
  6. 6. For tourists: Proof of hotel reservation and a roundtrip ticket or a letter from a Travel Agency is required.
     
     
  7. 7. International Certificate of Vaccination for Yellow Fever

  6. 5. For Business visits, an invitation from the host Company in Burundi is required.

A business letter of responsibility is required, to be typewritten on your company letterhead explaining the nature of business to be performed in Burundi, name and address of reference to be visited in Burundi, and guarantee of return transportation and sufficient funds for the visit. The letter should be signed by an officer of the company other than the applicant .
     
     
  8. 6. International Certificate of Vaccination for Yellow Fever
