Passport Requirements
:
China Business Visa
Your actual, signed passport which should be valid for 6 months beyond your intended stay in China and with at least two blank visa pages available for Chinese visa stamps. Please note that the last few pages in your passport are amendment pages for U.S. State Department use only and as such cannot be used for a China Business Visa stamp.

Photo Requirements:
China Business Visa
Two recent (not older than 90 days) 2 x 2 passport photographs,
in color, front view with body completely facing forward and with a plain white background.
These should be taken at a reputable facility such as Walgreen’s, CVS, or Fed Ex Kinko’s.
Please note that photos sent in an invalid format (self taken and printed on home or office printer)
are often not accepted by the Embassy/Consulates of China and may cause a delay in the application process.
Application Requirements:
China Business Visa
Complete, print, and sign the Online China Business Visa Application Form.
When completing the China Visa Application:
- Every question on the application must be answered.
- Questions that do not apply to you, please enter NA for Not Applicable.
- Application must be typed, handwritten applications are not acceptable.
- Applicant must sign and date both part 4 and part 5 on the last page of the application.
- Signatures on the application form must match the signature on the applicant’s passport.
Proof of Travel/Accommodations:
China Business Visa
As proof of Business to China, you will need to provide:
- Flight itinerary from the airline or travel agency, or a copy of an airline ticket. Travel proof must show both entry into and departure from China.
Business Letter:
China Business Visa
A business letter from the applicants U.S. based employer or sponsoring company.
The business letter should:
- printed on company letterhead;
- signed by an appropriate company representative;
- applicants name & passport number;
- applicants employer status & position in the U.S. company;
- dates of planned entry into & exit from China;
- cities & Provinces to be visited;
- specify validity of visa requested;
- clearly state the purpose of the business trip to China;
- specify who will provide financial support for applicants stay in China;
- name, address, & phone number of the Chinese company to be visited.
Invitation Letter:
China Business Visa
A letter of invitation from the host company in China.
“OR”
An official invitation/visa approval notification issued by the appropriate government agency and provided by the host/sponsor in China.
The letter of invitation from China should be on company letterhead, signed by an appropriate representative of the inviting organization, must be stamped with the company seal, and may be emailed or faxed.
The Letter of Invitation from China should include:
- Applicants name, gender, nationality, date of birth and passport number.
- Purpose of the business visit.
- Cities and provinces the applicant intends to visit.
- Dates of entry and exit from China.
- Specific validity of the visa being requested (10 year)
- Who will provide financial support in China for the duration of stay.
- Full name of the company in China which invited the applicant.
- Full name, job title, address, phone and fax numbers of the contact company in China.
- Signature of the inviting contact in China and company seal
The official invitation/visa approval notification may be emailed or faxed and should be from the PRC Ministry of Foreign Affairs, China Foreign Economic Relations & Trade Commission, or any other authorized government unit. This invitation should be arranged by your host in China.
Extra Information:
China Business Visa
Applicants who have previously traveled to China must provide a copy of the previous Chinese visa. If the visa was issued to a previous passport, a photocopy of the canceled passport’s information page must also be included or you may send the canceled passport itself.
For all minors under 13, a copy of the birth certificate is required. If a minor under 18 is traveling with someone other than a parent or legal guardian, a copy of the birth certificate and copy of parents’ passports is required.
The normal validity of the China tourist visa for U.S. citizens is 10 years with multiple entries and length of stay not to exceed 60 days.
Applicants of Chinese origin (born in China) must include a copy of a previous Chinese visa. If you have no previous Chinese Visas, then you will need to send your actual most recent Chinese passport. Also, these applicants must ensure to complete the Chinese Name field on the Chinese Tourist visa application form in Chinese characters.
Non U.S. passport holders currently in the US on a B1/B2 visa will be required to have a notarized letter stating “they are currently in the United States” when applying for a China Tourist Visa.
Applicants holding passports from France, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Turkey, Congo, Nigeria, and Ghana must appear in person at the Consulate for finger printing. US Visa Connection cannot assist with the China Tourist Visa process for these nationalities at this time.
