Nigerian crew visas are required for all US Citizens and most foreign nationals prior to leaving the United States as a pilot or member of a flight crew traveling to Nigeria.

The validity of the Nigeria crew visa is normally for 1 year, multiple entries and max stay of 90 days per entry. 

Processing times for Nigerian crew visas are 5 business days for regular standard processing. Rush emergency processing is available only at the sole discretion of the Nigerian Consulate.

STEP 1: REQUIREMENTS

Things you will need to get a crew visa for Nigeria.
Gather together the following:

| PASSPORT

Your actual, currently valid & signed passport which must:

  • have a minimum two blank side by side visa pages;
  • not be expiring 6 months or less from the date you leave Nigeria.

Please note that the last six pages of your passport cannot be used for entry/exit stamps or visa issuance. These are amendment pages specifically designated for State Department use only.

If your passport does not meet these requirements, UVC can Renew Your U.S. Passport or get you a New U.S. Passport as quickly as one business day, then process your Nigerian Crew Visa Application in time for your trip.

| PHOTO'S

Two passport photographs which should be:

  • in color & not blurry;
  • 2×2 in size;
  • front view with body completely facing forward;
  • on a plain white background;
  • with no glasses or head wear;
  • not older than 90 days;
  • taken at a reputable facility such as Walgreen’s, CVS or Fed Ex.

| HOTEL

If staying over in Nigeria, a copy of hotel reservations which should include the applicants name.

| ITINERARY

A flight itinerary or trip sheet which should include applicants name and show entry into and exit from Nigeria.

| BUSINESS LETTER

An original and signed business letter from your U.S. based company which should:

  • be on company letterhead;
  • explain the purpose of the trip;
  • provide a financial guarantee;
  • specify the dates of travel;
  • specify the requested visa duration;
  • have an original signature of a company representative other than the applicant.

| INVITATION LETTER

A letter of invitation from the hosting company or organization in Nigeria which should:

  • be on company letterhead;
  • be signed by a representative of the company;
  • include the applicant’s name
  • include a contact name, address, number, and email from the host company in Nigeria;
  • be addressed to “Consulate of Nigeria, 828 Second Avenue, New York, NY 10017.

A faxed or scanned copy is acceptable.

| INCORPORATION CERTIFICATE

A copy of the host company’s Certificate of Incorporation. A faxed or scanned copy is acceptable.

| WORK ID

A copy of the front and back of your airline crew identification badge.

The Nigerian Consulate is closed every Friday so please keep this in mind when calculating visa processing time.

STEP 2: FORMS

Forms required to get a crew visa for Nigeria.
Complete, print & sign the following required documents:

Complete, print, and sign two copies of Online Nigeria Crew Visa Application Form.

  • Online Nigeria Crew Visa Application

    Important Notes:
    Upon completion of the online application, you will be prompted to pay an online fee of 180.00.
    Once payment is made, please ensure to print the following:
  • Visa Application Form
  • Visa Acknowledgement Slip
  • Visa Payment Slip and/or Payment Receipt from Google Checkout

UVC will need all 3 of these forms for submission to the Nigerian Consulate.

If for whatever reason you cannot complete the Nigeria online visa application, a UVC agent can complete the application for you for an additional 35.00 fee.

All Nigeria visa documents must be reviewed by a UVC agent prior to shipping.
Please send copies of all required items listed in steps 1 thru 3 via email to info@usvisaconnection.com.

Once they have been reviewed and approved, you will be sent a ship label to send your documents.
