Nigerian tourist visas are required for all US citizens and most foreign nationals prior to leaving the United States traveling to Nigeria for tourism purposes.

The validity of the Nigeria tourist visa is normally for 1 year with multiple entries and max stay of 90 days per entry. 

Processing times for Nigerian tourism visas are 5 business days for regular standard processing. Rush emergency processing is available only at the sole discretion of the Nigerian Consulate.

STEP 1: REQUIREMENTS

Things you will need to get a Tourist Visa for Nigeria.
Gather together the following:

| PASSPORT

Your actual, currently valid & signed passport which must:

  • have a minimum two blank side by side visa pages;
  • not be expiring 6 months or less from the date you leave Nigeria.

Please note that the last six pages of your passport cannot be used for entry/exit stamps or visa issuance. These are amendment pages specifically designated for State Department use only.

If your passport does not meet these requirements, UVC can Renew Your U.S. Passport or get you a New U.S. Passport as quickly as one business day, then process your Nigerian Tourist Visa Application in time for your trip.

| PHOTO'S

Two passport photographs which should be:

  • in color & not blurry;
  • 2×2 in size;
  • front view with body completely facing forward;
  • on a plain white background;
  • with no glasses or head wear;
  • not older than 90 days;
  • taken at a reputable facility such as Walgreen’s, CVS or Fed Ex.

| HOTEL

A copy of confirmed hotel reservations.
If staying in various hotels, please provide copies of each reservation.

A letter from inviting family member or friend is required if they are providing accommodations to the applicant.

| ITINERARY

A copy of round trip tickets or emailed flight itinerary confirmation which should include applicants name and show entry into and exit from Nigeria.

| PROOF OF FUNDS

Your most recent bank statement which should show sufficient funds to support your stay in Nigeria.

| MINORS

Children of U.S. parents must provide:

  • a copy of birth certificate of child showing both parents names;
  • copies of the main page of both parents passports;
  • a notarized letter of consent signed by both parents.

Children of Nigerian parents must provide:

  • a notarized letter of consent signed by both parents;
  • copies of the main page of both parents passports.

| VISITING FAMILY/FRIENDS

If the applicant is staying in a private home a Invitation Letter is required from the Hosting Friend or Relative.

If the inviting friend or relative is a Nigerian citizen, a copy of the first four pages their Nigerian passport will be required.

If the inviting friend or relative is NOT a Nigerian Citizen, copies of their Nigerian resident permit and main information page of their passport will be required.

The Nigerian Consulate is closed every Friday so please exclude Fridays when calculating visa processing time.

STEP 2: FORMS

Forms required to get a Tourist Visa for Nigeria.
Complete, print & sign the following required documents:

Complete, print, and sign two copies of Online Nigeria Tourist Visa Application Form.

  • Online Nigeria Tourist Visa Application

    Important Notes:
    Upon completion of the online application, you will be prompted to pay an online fee of 180.00.
    Once payment is made, please ensure to print the following:
  • Visa Application Form
  • Visa Acknowledgement Slip
  • Visa Payment Slip and/or Payment Receipt from Google Checkout

UVC will need all 3 of these forms for submission to the Nigerian Consulate.

If for whatever reason you cannot complete the Nigeria online visa application, a UVC agent can complete the application for you for an additional 35.00 fee.

| SHIPPING INSTRUCTIONS

All Nigeria visa documents must be reviewed by a UVC agent prior to shipping.
Please send copies of all required items listed in steps 1 thru 3 via email to info@usvisaconnection.com.

Once they have been reviewed and approved, you will be sent a ship label to send your documents.
